The Twin Rivers and Carteret County Carolina Clubs are teaming up to honor, celebrate and connect the incoming new students from Craven, Carteret, Pamlico and Jones Counties starting college at UNC Chapel Hill in August.
We will be hosting a Summer Send-Off on Tuesday, July 25 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the home of local alumni, Ken Gray ’90 and Anita Gray ’91, 2405 Tram Road, New Bern, N.C.
Alumni are invited to join us to welcome the new students to the Carolina family. We are asking for a $25 contribution per alumni guest to cover the cost of the meal, which can be paid via cash or check at the event. Additionally, we are looking for alumni sponsors. For $100, you will help cover the cost of the provisions such as the catered meal, drinks, table and chair rentals, decorations and maybe a few prizes for the students. Our goal is for this event to be free to the students and their families.

All $100 sponsors whose gifts are received by Monday, July 3 will be listed on the invitations that go out to the students and their families. We hope to get enough sponsors so we do not have to charge alumni either.
We look forward to creating and sharing a new tradition to encourage and connect with the best and brightest students from our area.
